The short version

Free!bird does not collect your data. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing.

We do not collect, transmit, store on our systems, or share any personal information. That includes your income, your account balances, your plans, your age, and every other figure you enter.

We have no ability to see any of it. There is no server to see it with.

What stays on your device

The plans you create — balances, income, spending, rules and assumptions — are saved as files in the app’s private storage on your device. They are readable only by the app.

They are removed when you delete the app, and you can erase them at any time from Settings → Delete all my data.

If you use iCloud device backup, your device backup may include this app’s files. That backup is between you and Apple under Apple’s terms; we have no access to it and receive nothing from it.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. The app contains no analytics framework, no advertising identifier, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not share data with data brokers.

Network access

The app makes no network requests of its own. It has no web views and no connection to any service we operate.

The one exception is Apple’s own: if you buy or restore the Premium subscription, the app communicates with the App Store through Apple’s StoreKit framework to complete and verify the purchase. That exchange carries no information about your plans or finances, and Apple’s handling of it is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not this one.

Payments

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see your payment details, your name, or your billing address. What we receive from Apple is aggregate sales reporting that does not identify individual customers.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. Because we collect no data at all, we collect none from children either.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase. Your data is in your hands: it is on your device, and deleting the app or using Delete all my data removes it.

Changes

If a future version of the app collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here rather than quietly folded in.
